Experienced Magazine and Content Editor to work full-time, Bacolod in Bacolod, Northern Mindanao
Responsibilities:
Writing and producing high-calibre content for the various media publications of our company such as our digital magazine, print magazine, website and social media.
Create and execute an agreed magazine layout according to our template which remains very similar monthly
Fully responsible for the production of magazine and other content and publications the company does every month
Coordinate with designer, clients, contributors and other stakeholders on materials
See or understand the connection between well-presented content on brands and our ability to generate interest in a brand’s business opportunity for our readers
Requirements:
Degree holder in Journalism or related field
Must have 3-5 years experience in a similar position with a proven track record and portfolio
Female applicants preferred
Excellent English proficiency in both written and spoken language
Excellent content writing / copy editing skills
Business Journalism/reporting/editing experience highly preferred
Great attention to detail with strong magazine editing background
Confident but not arrogant
An eye for design and a hunch on what to do and act on if something just doesn’t look right
Creative, competitive and actively contributes in team discussions
Passionate and has the drive to really take the magazine and drive it forward and control it like it was their own
Proficient in Adobe InDesign with hardware capacity for photo editing and magazine layout software
Excellent customer service skills and ability to coordinate with clients, contributors and other stake holders on material
Offer:
Full-time, long-term contract with an Australian company engaged in Publishing, Advertising and Sales
Work hours:7am-3pm, Philippine time, Mon-Fri.
Location:home-based
Salary:33,000 – 38,000 Php / month depending on qualifications and experience
Start of Contract:September 29, 2014 or sooner
